In our final presentation we have talked about the inclusive schools. We started with a definition about inclusive schools, talking about the main characteristicas, the thinkings about 4 authors and also we talked about different barriers and strategies. When we finished this work we have many coclusions, we think that the inclusive schools are the best because of the think about all people and they try that all the people can be integrated. In this schools there aren´t any type of discrimination. They think that is very important the collaboration between parents, teachers and children and we think that this is very important because nowadays normally the parents dont collaborate with the schools and this can be a problem in the future. To sum up we think that all the school should try to follow the characteristics of this schools to improve our education!!

Asperger's Syndrome - SEVİNÇ ÇİSEM YÜKSEL
Asperger syndrome is an autistic disorder most notable for
the often great discrepancy between the intellectual and social abilities of
those who have it.
Children
diagnosed with Asperger syndrome present a special challenge in the education however
they don’t need to be separated from their peers. With the help of inclusive
education systems, we can teach them with the others without labelling them. If
they don’t feel that they are different, they can easily adapt into the
environment. We just need them to provide a spesific daily routine to make them
still. Children who has that disease can easily be angry, upset or cheerful. Their
emotions shift very frequently and very quickly. So it is important to make them
feel comfortable in the classroom.
Some
other children may try to bully them. As a future teachers, our first aim to
protect them from any possible bad situations. They need to be taken care by
the teachers so it is important to take care of them individually. We
have to observe them and if something is necessary, we have to supply it
immediately to avoid any misfortune.
Some parents prefer to send their children to the special schools to educate them while there is an option for children to have an ordinary education with the other children. Parents also should be informed about how it can be good and beneficial for their children to have the same education which the others have.
As
a conclusion, this disease doesn’t make children uneducable. With the help the
correct approaches, we can teach them like we do to teach the others. It is the
fact that there is no cure to get rid of that disease but it is possible to live
with that in a good way if we know how to deal with it. And also it is
important to share our knowledge with the others to have more options and
create better ways to deal with it.
Asperger
Asperger syndrome,
also known as Aspergers, is a developmental disorder characterized by
significant difficulties in social interaction and nonverbal communication,
along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. It is an
autism spectrum disorder and differs from other disorders by relatively normal
language and intelligence. Although not required for diagnosis, physical
clumsiness and unusual use of language are common. Symptoms usually begin
before two years old and can last for a person's entire life.
I think the best
way is to try to bring as normally as possible because if you treat him
normally, children also will see it that way. Intentarles must be aware that
even if they have a problem of social relations, we must try to integrate them
so that they can try to get better bring your problem.

Reflection of children with Asperger's syndrome (Melike Cetin)
The Aspergers
syndrome is a pronounced contact and communication disorder which manifests at
the latest in preschool and is characterized by a qualitative impairment of the
interaction behavior, a lack of empathy, motor delays and strong special
interests.
The social
significance shows the isolation of children and that they have problems due to
their behavioral disorder. Children
and adolescents diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome are in all types of schools,
from primary school to special schools or high schools. They attract attention
by having problems to get to know others or through their peculiarities and
preferences.
The most
important starting point for teachers to support a child with Asperger Syndrome in school is
to realize that the child has an inherent developmental disorder that causes for
his or her different behaviors and reactions. Often, the behaviors
of these children are interpreted as 'emotional' or 'manipulative', or any
other property that misses the point that they respond differently to the world
and its stimuli. That’s why the teacher has to adapt the approach carefully and
individually. It won’t work when the teacher treats a child with Aspergers syndrome
as the same way as he/she does with other children.
Many
children with Aspergers syndrome can be teach in the same class with other students without AS. They just need an additional educational support. If
learning problems exist, a material room or tutoring can be helpful to provide
individual explanations and repetition. Sometimes
exists a significant motor awkwardness. Here, a school therapist can give
useful information. The school counselor or social worker can provide direct
social skills training, as well as emotional support.

REFLECTION ABOUT CHILDREN WITH SYNDROME OF ASPERGER (SANDRA FERNÁNDEZ DEL CASTILLO)
The other day we saw a video in
class talking about people who had Asperger Syndrome. Looking for information
about this síndrome we can say that the accurate and reliable diagnosis can
only be performed by a specialist doctor and the treatment the same. However,
there are some characteristics that can be observed by the parents or teachers when
their children are between 2 and 7 years old to identify Asperger Syndrome.
Some of these characteristics are:
- Social skills and emotional
control: they have problems to relate to other children, it is difficult to
identify feelings and those of others, don’t fully understand the intentions of
others, they don’t like leaving home, they have conflicts with others etc.
- Communication skills: they
don’t usually look to your eyes when they are having a conversation, sometimes they
are absent, it’s hard to them to understand long conversations, they believe
everything that people told to they and do not understand the ironies etc.
- Comprehension skills: They have an
exceptional memory for facts and dates, particular sense of humor, they learn to read alone at an early age, difficulty to
understand complex questions etc.
- Specific Interests: they
like routine, when there is a particular issue that they like, they think, talk or write about the issue for a
long time, without thinking in the opinion of others etc.
- Movement Skills: poor
motor coordination.
In summary, and taking a small
definition that a girl said in the video, a person with Asperger's syndrome
would be a person who wants to fit in but do not know what you're doing wrong.
Therefore we must solve the exclusion that occurs to them because they are all
equal and we have to have the same opportunities.
SO… WHAT CAN WE DO IF WE HAVE CHILDREN WITH SYNDROME OF ASPERGER IN
CLASS?
First of all I think that we
should be patient and be aware of the characteristics that present these
children. I also think that it is important to adapt the materials to class
with these students in order to promote their integration into the group, ie,
do not teach them apart, but they are taught as everyone else but we as
teachers are in charge lower or raise the level so that everyone feels
comfortable. Another important thing is to be aware of situations that may
occur among children, as might please children make them bullying by some of
the characteristics that they have, as we saw in the video class, we must be
vigilant and not let it produce these unpleasant situations. Another
interesting thing is to teach children to make friends and to relate to others,
because it is something that costs them more. We could also teach how to solve
problems that may arise from them, reward them and all children when the
objectives are achieved. Although there are to treat everyone equally I think
it would be a good idea to have a little more time for these children since the
objective is that can be integrated and this involves a long process. In my
opinion I think it is also important to maintain relationships with parents, to
be informed of the problems that may have children with this syndrome because
they tend not to say the things because they are quieter and more silence tan others.
Finally, I think it is also important to teach this child to control their
emotions because it is something that usually costs them, they do not think
things and we need to teach them to control and teach them how to act in
different situations. WE NEED TO CREATE
A GOOD ATMOSPHERE IN CLASS TO MAKE EVERYONE FEEL COMFORTABLE AND INTEGRATED!!!
